An even shrink matters more than a strong film
Shrink film fails in a way stretch film does not. If the shrink rate is uneven across the web, one edge pulls before the other, the pack twists, and a high-speed tunnel turns that into a line stoppage rather than a cosmetic problem.
So the property worth paying for is uniformity: even thickness across the web and an even shrink on all edges. We produce from 100 per cent LDPE with gauge sampled from the running line, because a bundling film that behaves differently roll to roll is worse than a slightly heavier one that does not.
