Rubber

Synthetic rubber supplied in standard bale form for tyre, technical goods and footwear compounding. Two families, used together far more often than separately.

About the family

Compounders rarely buy just one

SBR and PBR are the two highest-volume synthetic rubbers in the world, and most tyre formulations contain both. SBR provides wet grip, tear strength and processability. PBR provides abrasion resistance and low rolling resistance, and it stays flexible at low temperature where SBR stiffens.

We supply both in standard bale form, oil-extended and non-extended, with the Mooney viscosity and bound styrene figures confirmed on the certificate of analysis before shipment.

Rubber types we supply

Each page lists the grade range and what the compound is usually built around.

SBR

Styrene butadiene rubber. The highest-volume synthetic rubber, valued for wet grip, tear strength and its wide, forgiving processing window. Supplied oil-extended and non-extended.

PBR

Polybutadiene rubber. High-cis structure giving outstanding abrasion resistance, low heat build-up and excellent low-temperature flexibility. Almost always blended rather than used alone.

Applications

Where synthetic rubber is used

Tyre manufacturing takes the majority of global SBR and PBR output, but technical goods, footwear and polymer modification account for a substantial share.
